Captain James Cook is one of the world’s most famous explorers and is also a major figure in Australia and New Zealand’s exploration. This activity is great fun, allowing students to assemble a double page map of the world and then ‘chart’ Cook’s three voyages. Record the continents and oceans on their travels. This is an ideal task to do in pairs or could be enlarged on to A3 paper to create a project or display item for your classroom. Everything you need is in this file.
Australia has an exciting history when it comes to exploration and this resource forms part of our Exploring Australia’s Explorers range which has been designed to provide you with all you need to teach the explorers while addressing the curriculum content for both knowledge and skills.
