Edward John Eyre is one of Australia’s great explorers. He explored a large portion of Australia while overlanding cattle to Melbourne and Australia and found Lake Eyre in northern South Australia. His most notable, and dangerous expedition was across the Nullarbor from Streaky Bay to Albany.

This activity is great fun, allowing students to track Eyre’s two expeditions to northern South Australia and across the Nullarbor.

There are two parts to this activity, first students connect the dots to track Eyre’s expeditions, and second, they use an atlas or Google Maps to identify important locations on his expedition.
