Australian Democracy – Women’s Suffrage Timeline
This fun and interactive resource has been designed as part of the Experiencing Democracy— Campaigning for Change set. It focusses on Australian women and their battle for democratic equality before and following federation. As outlined in the Australian curriculum: Experiences of Australian democracy and citizenship, including the status and rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People migrants, women and children (ACHASSK135)
This engaging activity requires students to read each of the puzzle pieces and sort them in chronological order. Make three separate ladies, which can then be glued into their book with each of the flaps lifting up to display the information. (Please see photos on page 2)

This activity could be completed individually or in pairs. It helps students practice sequencing information about people’s lives, events, developments and phenomena using a variety of methods including timelines.
